Schoolhouse Rock Live!
Auditions
Additional Auditions for Schoolhouse Rock Live! on Saturday, May 21 at 4pm
The Elden Street Players, an all-volunteer community theater company in
Herndon VA, will hold additional auditions for Schoolhouse Rock Live! on
Saturday, May 21 at 4pm.
Based on the Emmy Award winning Saturday morning cartoon series that ran
1973-1985 this lively musical contains such well known songs as “Conjunction
Junction”, “Just A Bill”, and “Interjections”. The new teacher is nervous about
the first day of school. Turning on the TV to relax, the various characters from
Schoolhouse rock emerge into the living room in order to remind us that it can
be fun to learn.
The cast will consist of an ensemble of up to 10 persons, aged 16 and up.
We’re looking for people who are quick-witted, enthusiastic and energized. We
are especially looking for people who move well in high energy dance and
choreographed movements around the stage. So come dressed for MOVEMENT.
For auditions please prepare no more than 32 measures of music from one of
the styles of music in the show: Rock, Jazz, Gospel or Broadway. Bring sheet
music, an accompanist will be provided.
