Jeff Boatright (Technical Director) This is Jeff’s first stint as Technical Director, and it really is something different! It’s been a real pleasure working with the creative staff for this production. I’d like to specifically thank Michael for all his hard work on this undertaking. He also thanks the rest of the crew who pulled all the technical challenges together and made all this happen… just in time! Jeff would like to express his appreciation to his family for their patience and understanding during long nights and weekends when “Dad” is at the theatre.

Chuck Dluhy (Director) is thrilled to be directing at the Elden Street Players for the first time. Previous directing credits include I Bring You Flowers, You Can’t Trust the Male, Welcome to Florida, Fixing Things and The Other Side. As an actor, singer and dancer, he’s performed with many Washington area theatres in such shows as Anything Goes (Billy), A Chorus Line (Paul), Damn Yankees (Mr. Applegate), You Never Know (Gaston), Flowers for Algernon (Charlie), Sylvia (Tom, Phyllis & Leslie) and The Pavilion (Narrator plus 16 other characters). He has studied directing and acting at the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory, Woolly Mammoth Theatre School and the Theatre Lab. Chuck would like to thank the wonderful production staff and superb cast for making his job an easy one.

Joyce Gillogly (Properties) is happy to be working with Elden Street again, having just Stage Managed Irma Vep here this spring. She thanks everyone at ESP for making her feel welcome, and for keeping her so entertained.

Pat Jannell-Pacheco (Set Dressing) is pleased to work at Elden Street with friends Chuck, Joyce and Suzanne. Most recent projects have been Ruthless, and Tales of the Allergist’s Wife for Dominion Stage. She has been very active with several local community and professional groups over the past 16+ years, and has been dubbed “Props-R-Us”. Her favorite shows include Foxfire, Plaza Suite, (ACT Center Stage award for excellence in Set Dressing), Lost in Yonkers, and Conversations with My Father, (ACT award for excellence in Properties). She was Producer for Springfield Community Theatre’s production of Oliver. And even stepped out in front of the curtain as the Mayor’s wife in Bye, Bye Birdie, (ACT nomination for a Cameo role). She has also received a “Little Theater of Alexandria” award for Set Dressing in Something’s. Professional theater company productions include Keegan Theater’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and the Center Company of the Northern Virginia Jewish Community Center’ productions of , One of the Few, Visiting Mr. Green, and Oy! She would like to especially thank her new husband, Miguel, for putting up with her crazy schedules.

Rich Klare (Producer) has produced such hit shows as WIT (SSS), and ESP’s The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), Love! Valour! Compassion, The Rocky Horror Show, The Who’s Tommy, Hair and several others. He has been involved with ESP for many years and is busy behind the scenes building sets, handling publicity and other stuff. His most recent acting appearances include: Fr. Schmitt, The Laramie Project (RCP), Henry II, The Lion In Winter (VTC & NVCC-LC), Samuel Chase, 1776 (RCP), and Pope Clement VI, Red Noses (ESP).

Suzanne Maloney (Stage Manager) has worked in theater in the Washington, DC area for many years. Her most recent projects include directing Steel Magnolias at VTC, designing costumes for Ragtime at TAP, and designing props for The Emperor Jones at TACT. During the day, she is the Assistant Dramaturg at Theater of the First Amendment. Her next project is designing lights for ESP’s Schoolhouse Rock! She has a B.A. in Theater and is working on her masters in dramatic literature.

Cathy Rieder (Set Painter) is painting her sixth set for ESP, having finished The Mystery of Irma Vep, Henry V, Thumbs, Sweet Charity and The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged). She also designed and painted the sets for IPAY’s The Nutcracker and for LIES Annual Variety Show and Dig It. Cathy is an at-home mom, a part time teacher and is back in school for fine arts/design. She would like to thank the most amazing crew at ESP for offering all these creative outlets. She would also like to thank Trish, Katerina and her daughters for their continued help with painting. This was a big set (yeah, color!) and she couldn’t have done it without them. Thanks Mike – I gotta rest!

Mike Schlabach (Master Carpenter) is in his second appearance as Master Carpenter at ESP (previously on Henry V). His previous experience includes The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), Sweet Charity, Thumbs, and The Mystery of Irma Vep. He would like to thank everyone that helped out with this set as well as personally extend a big thank you to some talented, hard-working and dedicated folks - Gina, Skip, John, and Marty. This was a large and detailed set that would not be what it is without their exceptional efforts. He feels incredibly fortunate to have had as much help as he did on this show. Mike would also like to offer a special thank you to Rich for putting in almost as many hours on the set as he did and having the confidence to let him “run free” and get the job done. And last, but most certainly not least, Mike wants to thank Cathy for getting him involved with the theater which has been so incredibly rewarding.

Kendel Taylor (Hair/Make-Up Design) is very excited to be back at Elden Street, and has enjoyed the opportunity to work with Chuck again. After performing various roles with Dominion Stage, including Rowena in Biloxi Blues, Sissy in Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and Suzette in Don't Dress for Dinner (with Mr. Dluhy), she has turned her creative attention to hair and make up design. Kendel has done hair and make up for Caine Mutiny Court Martial, Fantasticks, Music Man and Little Mary Sunshine. This year she designed for ESP/Theatre for Young Audiences' Cinderella and Vienna Theatre Company's recent production of Pippin. She does her own hair and make up every morning for her job as a senior analyst for the City of Alexandria.

Lynda Tilton (Sound Design) in the past, working mostly with RCP, has constructed and painted sets, worked running crew, lighting crew, sound crew, been a master electrician, stage-managed, and designed sound and lighting. At ESP she did sound for The Rocky Horror Show and Red Noses. Enjoy!

Judy Whelihan (Costume Design) has been active in local community theaters for the past ten years. Favorite shows include My Fair Lady (RCP), The King and I (RCP), The Rocky Horror Show (ESP), aWATCH award winner for costumes and best musical, 1776 (RCP), also WATCH award for costumes. Recent shows include Red Noses and Accomplice (ESP) WATCH award nominee for Special Effects and Mame (RCP). She has also costumed several Children’s Theater productions for ESP.

Lester Zidel (Lighting Designer) After a year's sabbatical, just when you thought it was safe to come back to the IST....he's back. A founder of the IST and ESP, Les has designed almost thirty productions here including, The Who’s Tommy, The Rocky Horror Show, La Cage aux Folles, Jesus Christ Superstar, Red Noses, Suburb, Gynt , Death of a Salesman and Raisin in the Sun. You may have seen him at the Herndon Festival where he has served on the Executive Board since 1985. He serves as the Facilities Chair of the Herndon Foundation seeking to open a new downtown Arts Center in 2006. He thanks Tom for all his hard work and good humor, Chuck for his clear vision, and Rich for his friendship and leadership making theatre work for a very long time.
