Al Fetske, (The Man) has performed with several area groups, including LTA, Burke Players, Great Falls Players and Reston Players. Elden Street has been a home base for him since he first appeared here as Wally O'Hara in the ESP inaugural production A Sign In Sydney Brustein's Window. Previous roles at the IST include Goldman in Man in A Glass Booth, Garfinkle in Other Peoples' Money, Sgt. Stenning in Murderer, Willie in All the King's Men, and Foreman in The Tenth Man. Al is also the recipient of the NVTA One Act Festival Best Actor Award for 1997 and for 2000. He is happy to be a part of this talent packed cast and has thoroughly enjoyed working with them.
Kate Ranta (The Girl) is excited to be working for the first time with The Elden Street Players. She appeared on stage twice last year in Montgomery Playhouse productions, first as Nurse Kelly in Harvey, then as Greta in Witness for the Prosecution. Other favorite productions include Grease, Oklahoma!, and A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum. Kate took several drama classes while attending Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster; PA, and trained at Playhouse West in Los Angeles. In the real world, Kate is a writer/editor for the National Telephone Cooperative Association in Arlington, VA.
Scott Reichert (The Young Man) just can't get enough of the theater. Always glad to be involved in a new show, with new people, this time he has the pleasure of working with a new group, The Elden Street Players, and hopes it isn't the last. Performing for the last 2 ½ years, this is Scott's first show with a group in Virginia in more than 2 years. After doing seven consecutive shows in Maryland, he's glad to be back,... if for no other reason than the commute. Enjoy the show.
Mary-Anne Sullivan, (The Woman) is delighted to be working with Bruce Follmer and the super cast of Veronica's Room, her first production with ESP She holds a BFA in acting from VCU. She last appeared as Abbey in Castaways Rep Theatre's Arsenic and Old Lace. Recent CRT directing credits include The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) and Kindertransport (the Washington area premiere). She authored CRT's 2000 NVTA One-Act entry, I Love You, Mirabelle. Last semester; she served as the Artist in Residence, teaching performance and directing her original children's play The Queen & The Crocodile at Crestwood Elementary in Springfield. She sends her love to her wonderful husband, her two ("there's nothing to eat in the house, mom!") teenaged sons and very special wishes to Sherry Follmer - one of her first mentors in community theatre.
