 | Auditions will be held on a first come first served basis, in groups of
20. |
 | Sign-in when you arrive. |
 | Auditioners will be asked to fill out audition forms, photos will be
taken, regardless of providing headshots. |
 | You are expected to list ALL conflicts with the
rehearsal/performance schedule (shown below). |
 | When 20 auditioners are ready, they will be asked to sit in the theater
and each person will be asked to sing their prepared number and then read a
short piece of dialogue with a stage manager or other auditioner. |
 | Long songs or long dialogues may be stopped at the director's discretion. |
 | After all twenty are through, the group will work with the choreographer
or dance captain to learn a short routine followed by movement auditions in
groups of five. |
 | Any actors auditioning for the NARRATOR only, will not be required
to sing. After reading dialogue, you are excused. |
 | We expect each group of 20 to take up to between 45 minutes and one hour,
so if you are assigned to a second or third group of auditioners, you may
leave and return at 2:00 pm or 3:00 pm (depending on turnout). We are
doing this to prevent auditioners from be "forced" to wait for
long periods of time. |
 | Auditions are OPEN, no roles are pre-cast, friends and auditioners may sit
in the house and observe auditions.
|
 | Callbacks are scheduled for Monday, May 14th at 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm
(hopefully, 10 pm). Phone calls will be made on Sunday evening. |
 | CASTING: due to the unusual "types" and vocal requirements of
several characters in the show, it is expected that casting will not be
completed until May 21st. As soon as a decision has been made on your
casting, you will be contacted. Everyone will be contacted. But,
we may or may not call back "phantoms" or other roles. If
you are not called back, that does not mean you have not been cast, it just
means we haven't decided about you yet. |
